Welcome to Magic Wand Learning! Our mission is to inspire and educate young minds through enchanting children's books and helpful resources for parents and teachers. At Magic Wand Learning, we believe that every child has the potential to achieve greatness. Through our books and resources, we aim to make learning a magical and empowering experience.
About Me
Owner and Founder: Diane Sison
As a child, I spent countless hours immersed in the magical worlds of books. My passion for reading blossomed into a lifelong love of storytelling. This enthusiasm guided me to a fulfilling career as a teacher, where I specialized in teaching students how to read. Most of my teaching career was in special education, working with students who had learning difficulties and behavioral challenges. I also taught and counseled incarcerated youth and adults for six years. I have been married for 25 years to my husband, Arthur, and I am the proud mom of two grown children, Vincent and Samantha. My two dogs, Mocha and Pebbles, and my cat, Akila, were the inspiration for my first three books. When I'm not writing, I love spending time with my family and friends, playing with my dogs and cat, and decorating my house for each and every holiday.
Upon retiring from teaching after 32 years, I decided to turn my lifelong dream of writing children's books into reality. Magic Wand Learning was born out of my desire to continue helping children reach their full potential and shine their brightest. Along with a teaching credential, I also have a master's degree in educational psychology, with an emphasis in marriage, family, and child counseling. I believe that the social and emotional elements of my books provide children, parents and teachers with safe, age-appropriate ways to navigate and overcome life's challenges.
What We Offer
Rhyming Children's Story Books: Our story books are not only fun and engaging but also teach important life lessons such as time management, gratefulness, self-acceptance, and goal setting. They are available in paperback, downloadable PDF files, and E-books.
Educational Books for Children: Books on various topics like dinosaurs, colors, months, etc. make learning easy and enjoyable. The more children listen to and read the books, they will naturally remember the concepts taught.
Resource Books for Parents/Teachers: We help parents and teachers learn about important topics like depression, anxiety, self-esteem, setting boundaries and more. These books are written in a straight forward and easy to understand format.
Journals and Coloring Books: We have a variety of journals and coloring books on various topics and themes that will appeal to children and adults.
Free Materials: We offer a variety of free resources designed to support both parents and teachers. These include inspirational poems, chore charts, lesson plans, blog articles and more.
